Installation Verification

The following steps verify that the Plug-In installation was successful.

If the icon doesn’t appear inside of vSphere, restart the vSphere client and

check again.

Check that vCenter can communicate with the Plug-In by attempting a

ping command from the vCenter server to the virtual appliance IP address

or hostname.

Completing The Initial Configuration

Once you have completed the steps in this guide, you must run the

Configuration Wizard to complete the installation. For more information

about running the Configuration Wizard, see the Dell Management Plug-in

for VMware vCenter User’s Guide.
