fixeddatabaseroleontheVirtualCenterdatabaseandtheMSDBdatabase.
The db_ownerroleontheMSDBdatabaseisrequiredforinstallationandupgrade
only.Youcanrevokethisroleaftertheinstallationorupgradeprocessis
completed.
Do notgranttheSystemAdministratorsserverroletothedatabase
user.However,iftheSystemAdministratorsrolewaspreviouslygrantedwhilethe
databasewasusedwithVirtualCenterServer2.0.x,donotrevoketheSystem
Administratorsrole.Leaveitasis.
MicrosoftSQLServer2005–Makesurethatthedatabaseloginhaseitherthe
sysadminserverroleorthedb_ownerfixeddatabaseroleontheVirtualCenter
databaseandontheMSDBdatabase.Thedb_ownerroleontheMSDBdatabaseis
requiredforinstallationandupgradeonly.Youcanrevokethisrole
afterthe
installationorupgradeprocessiscomplete.
